Corduroy Panel Skirt

This is a just-below-the-knee length skirt which i've made from 3 med. wale ocean colored corduroy panels and 3 wide wale chocolate brown panels. This skirt is fitted, and closes on the side with four whimsical wooden buttons. On the other side is a little front pocket, trimmed with the hawkeye fabric (see dresses page)- perfect for little things like change or guitar picks. At the bottom of the skirt is a non-gathered ruffle, cut on the bias out of the ocean corduroy, adding flair. The ruffle is also trimmed with the hawkeye fabric. The skirt is brought together at the top by a fitted waist band. Waist is about 30" around when buttoned. Hip area is about 42" around. Skirt is 26 1/2" from top of waist band to bottom hem. Bottom hem is 61" all the way around. Waist band is lined with the hawkeye fabric. Button holes have been carefully stitched with blue thread. All seams have been either sewn under, topstitched, or wrap-around stitched wherever needed. Wash in warm water and hang to dry.

Blue Linen Skirt

This skirt is made from a navy blue linen/rayon blend. It is A-line and bias cut so's it'll hang elegantly. At the bottom left corner i've cut out a corner of the linen and replaced it with a colorful piece of silky fabric; orange, sky blue, purple and yellow- which is woven with tinsel threads of silver, magenta, navy blue and gold- and adds a fun, sparkly flair! The pocket is placed at an angle for easy accessibility and is trimmed with the multicolored fabric. The drawstrings each have 2 brass bells at their ends, and are wrapped at the bottoms in the colored fabric.

Elastic is 28" around when closed and 40" when open all the way. Skirt hangs about 35" from top of waist band to bottom hem. Bottom hem is 92" all the way around (including "flair"). The elastic band is 3/4" wide.

All seams have been either folded under and sewn or wrap-around-stitched so that there are no raw edges!!

Wash linen in cold water with like colors and hang to dry.
