Corduroy and Polka-Dot Shoulder Bag
This here is a sturdy, fun shoulder bag made from a tomato-red-orange corduroy, and lined with a retro mustard yellow fabric with tiny black polka dots! On the front flap i have sewn one of our lighthouse band patches- dark gray fabric with a gold stencil. The flap fastens down in the bottom corners with loops made from the yellow fabric, and 2 big gray&white faux turtle shell buttons. The bag is about 12" across, 10" long, and 1 1/2" deep. The strap is 40 1/2" long and 1 1/2" wide.

This awesome, heavy-duty shoulder bag is made from black canvas. On the front flap i've painted a decorative stencil in gold spray paint. The flap fastens down using a cord loop and a brass clip. The bag is about 10" across, 10" long. The strap is 46 1/2" long and 2" wide, and runs down around the sides and bottom of the bag, making more room inside. On the front, beneath the flap, is a pleated zipper pocket- about 7" wide and 5 1/2" deep. All seams are sewn under.

This is a sturdy shoulder bag made from a tomato-red-orange corduroy and lined with a retro mustard yellow fabric with tiny black polka-dots!! On the front flap i have stenciled the lighthouse band's logo in black spray paint! The flap fastens down with a loop from the yellow fabric and a unique cloth covered button. The bag is about 7" across and 9" long. The strap is 45" long and 1 1/2" wide, plus it turns into the sides and bottom of the bag, giving the bag even more room!

This guy is a medium sized purse made from a guatamalan style fabric woven with stripes of tomato red, goldenrod, burgandy, orange, brown, and white. Inside of the purse is a zipper pocket that is like a separate little bag, attatched to the purse only at its top. The bottom inside of the purse is lined with a plaid cotton fabric (veg. dyed) of the same colors, to make the purse more rugged. The cover flap fastens with a loop to a cylindrical wooden button. The purse is 9 1/2" wide, 8" long, and about 2" deep. The strap is 35" long, and 2" wide, which is sewn down around the sides and bottom of the bag, adding the depth. All seams are sewn under for no fraying.

This purse is made from a loose weave tapestry with patterns in hot chocolate brown, golden brown, black, and red. Among the patterns are leaves, flowers, elephants, and camels- one camel on the front flap, and one on the back of the purse. There is a wooden bead sewn to each corner at the bottom of the flap, as weights to keep it closed. The purse is fully lined with the same fabric. The bag is about 6 1/2" across, 6 1/2" long, and 1"wide on the side. The strap is about 37 1/2" long, and 3/4" wide.

This simple little purse made from a guatamalan style woven cotton with stripes of tomato red, goldenrod, brown, orange, and white. It fastens at the top with a goldenrod zipper. The zipper head is threaded with knotted hemp and a wooden bead for a decorative pull. The purse is 7 1/2" long, and 7" wide. The strap is 43" long, and 1" wide. There are no raw edges on the inside (or outside).

Batik Patchwork Cinch bag
This fun, practical bag has 2 straps that turn into a drawstring at the top so that you can cinch it shut. It can be worn like a backpack, or - my personal favorite- with both the straps slung over one shoulder. <--worn like that, you will hardly know it's there! I use mine for everything- its great as a purse, for groceries, to tote things around at festivals- whatever you need it for!
I made this bag out of different batik patches of purples, blues, magentas and a few greens and oranges, complimented by a few navy blue calico pieces. The pattern is random. The bag is lined with a deep purple and blue-night sky-looking batik with dots of all colors. It is a cylindrical shape with a circular bottom. The opening is 11 1/2 inches across (23" all the way around). The bag is 15" from top to bottom. Straps are 21 1/2 " each when open, and 31 1/2" when closed all the way.
All patches are top stitched and all seams are either sewn inside out or turned under so that there are no raw edges.
